Development Diary
A brief-dive into the daily progress and making of the game for the first game project at Playground Squad.
Week 1
Week 1 focused on planning and pre-production. The team members got familiar and had several meetings to bring a concrete image of what the game was to be. Artists started with concept art and mock ups, programmers worked on flow charts and system planning and designers went through the GDD, tweaking and creating gameplay and ran around making sure everyone was on the same page.
Week 2
Week 2 marks the beginning of starting in-engine work, where systems were starting to be made, props and environments were crafted and completed.
